Contains photographs of the following military unit: 10th Infantry Regiment, 5th Infantry Division. General description of the collection: The Arthur Blanton photograph collection consists of photos that reflect his entire Army career. There are portraits of Colonel Blanton and others with whom he was associated. The earliest photos are small snapshots of himself and his buddies. There are several photos of 10th Infantry Regiment personnel of the 5th Infantry Division during WWII and after, and numerous photos of miscellaneous scenes in Korea between 1951 and 1954. The collection also includes photos of himself, his, wife, and associates in his post-retirement years.

Arthur Blanton was a United States (U.S.) Army officer. He rose through the ranks from private in 1925 to lieutenant colonel in 1951. He served throughout World War II as a company (Co.) grade officer, in Korea with the 10th U.S. Infantry, and as a senior member of the negotiating team during the signing of the peace treaty at Panmunjom, Korea.
